My client is a worldwide leader of software solutions across the enterprise and security sectors.
They are looking for buyer/purchaser for their procurement department.
Responsibilities:
· Sourcing products, venues and services using current and new suppliers within a central processing team responsible for UK and European based entities.
· Negotiating terms and conditions with new suppliers.
· Raising orders for different entities throughout Europe.
· Booking received orders onto the system.
· Working on projects with marketing and travel to achieve best value for money in the venue, printing and giveaways sectors.
· Working with global buying teams to achieve best price on hardware orders.
Education:
CIPS qualified or working towards CIPs qualification.
Requirements:
· Must have previous experience of working in a purchasing department in a medium/large sized company and have previous experience of purchasing for the marketing sector.
· Previous experience of working with travel departments would be useful.
· A working knowledge of Oracle or ERP systems would be an advantage.
· Must be flexible and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
